Hi Danny saw your amazing art in the imagine fx magazine I was thinking about doing traditional drawing again half to find the right software for it I use some pointers on my 3d art if you have A minute check out my page let me know what you think and what software is good for drawing and oh one more thing I would like to add you to my friends list I could use pointers and ideas also thank you and god bless.

hey thanks for stopping by. to be honest, it doesn't matter too much which program you use if you're drawing traditionally. i've used photoshop, painter and a few others. they each have their own  idiosyncrasies but, for the most part, you can pretty much figure out how to get more or less similar results from any of them.

Hey,  Danny.  I bought your sketchbook and was looking through is and then came and looked at your pics here again as well and was wondering, do you mind sharing your shading technique with me?  It looks like you are doing some cross-hatching, but it also looks like you may be using two different pen shades or maybe pen and pencil?  I just notice you have a very smooth transition in your shading and I can't seem to figure it out.

sure. the physical artwork is rendered with cross hatching and scribble using 2h and hb pencils or pen and then i blend those rendered parts on a different layer digitally. that way i get the linework and the tonal gradations...i like having a mix of both aspects.
